The Mighty Ducks Disney+ series’ reboot is in works and will see Charlie Sheen’s brother Emilio Estevez make a comeback as Coach Bombay. The news of a remake started surfacing back in 2018 but no characters details were shared until recently. The new series will only see Emilio from the original cast members. Disney’s latest offering comes in the form of a reboot of the original Might Ducks staring the controversial Shaun Weiss, Emilio Estevez, and Joshua Jackson. The upcoming Disney+ spin-off, however, will only see Estevez return as Coach Bombay.
More character details for The Mighty Ducks Disney+ series have also started surfacing. While the casting is still underway, some details on two other roles have also made their way to the Internet.
According to Illuminerdi, Disney+’s take-up of the original Mighty Ducks will see Adib/Samitar or “Sam,” and Jaden Koobler or “Koob” as two of the supporting actors. Sam is an 11-13-year-old boy of African-American descent and a master skateboarder.
The Mighty Ducks’ other supporting actor, Koob, is also an 11-13-year-old who is a video game enthusiast.
The original screenwriter Steven Brill is collaborating with Disney as an executive producer on the new Disney series.

According to some sources, the opening season will consist of 10 episodes. The plotline of the Disney+ series revolves around Evan boot out of The Mighty Ducks junior division hockey team. His mom helps him get back on track under the supervision of Coach Bombay (Emilio Estevez) and finds Evan a new team.
