Twitter went wild after watching Chris Rock Will Smith feud on Live Television at Oscars. Who did not tune into social media to show disbelief and discuss the situation. Basically, Chris Rock made fun of Will Smith’s wife Jada Smith regarding her condition of ‘hair loss’. Comedians react to Chris Rock vs Will Smith; Jeffrey Ross defends Chris Rock

Jeffrey Ross, American stand-up comedian, went ahead and praised American comedian, Chris Rock for not escalating the situation at Oscars 2022. He took to his Instagram stories to announce that he worships Chris Rock and cried when ‘Smith attack him’. Further he said:

Rock should get a Nobel Peace prize for keeping his hands down and not escalating the situation. Class act. If Jada wasn’t feeling the jokes Will should have put his arm around her and let Rock finish. Anyways I also have Alopecia. It sucks. But when people make jokes I laugh because that’s life.

Fortune Feimster and Kathy Griffin’s Reaction

Everyone had something to say about this situation, from comedians to actors, and to singers. Fortune Feimster (American actress and comedian) took to her twitter to announce that she did not find the act of hitting someone on stage ‘amusing’. She further said:

Someone in the audience charged the stage Friday night during my opener’s set and attempted to throw the speaker, started taking the swings at the people trying to stop her and pushed down a security guard. It’s scary time. So, no, I don’t find someone getting hit on stage amusing.

Moreover, Kathy Griffin, another American Comedian, expressed sadness and fear like Jeffrey Ross regarding Will Smith Chris Rock situation. She stated:

Let me tell you something its a very bad practice to walk up on stage and psychically assault a Comedian. Now we all have to worry about who wants to be the next Will Smith in Comedy clubs and theatres.

Additionally, some comedians had a lot to say about Will Smith. Judd Apatow, ‘Knocked up’ director went too far and speculated that Will could have caused a murder. He said in a now-deleted tweet:

He could have killed him. That’s pure out of control rage and violence. They’ve heard a million jokes about them in the last three decades. They are not freshman in the world of Hollywood and Comedy. He lost his mind.

Will Smith’s slap to Chris Rock due to disrespecting his wife is being deemed as ‘abuse’. Smith is being labelled as ‘violent’ and sympathies are being give to Chris Rock. But, fans are not buying white comedians and people doing the ‘activism’ on Will Smith.
