In the 90s, she was one of the most popular actresses and every filmmaker wanted her. However, then she disappeared from the spotlight. But where Jennifer Love Hewitt now is?
While she is best known for I Know What You Did Last Summer, Hewitt started her career as a child actress. She made her debut with the Disney Channel’s variety show, Kids Incorporated. After that, she was a part of many TV series which were canceled, like Shaky Grounds and The Byrds of Paradise. Jennifer Love Hewitt’s TV success came when she starred in the show, Party of Five.
In 1997, she became a film star with IKWYDLS and its sequel the next year. This was the first time when she became a household name. Everyone expected her to be a big star and have a long successful career. Although she did several other films after that, Hewitt could not maintain her film star status. In 2005, she starred in another TV show called The Ghost Whisperer. While the show did well, it did not last long and was canceled after five seasons in 2010. After that show, she started fading from the screens. But now people are getting curious as to where Jennifer Love Hewitt now is.
Although she was not seen in anything big, Hewitt kept working in several shows and films. In 2010, she was a part of a film called The Client List. Apart from that, she appeared in several episodes of Criminal Minds and Hot in Cleveland. However, Jennifer Love Hewitt now seems to have been focusing on her family. In 2013, she got married to her The Client List co-star, Brian Hallisay and is a mother of two kids. After having kids, she took a break for two years. In 2018, she joined Ryan Murphy’s crime drama, 911, as a regular cast member.
However, she has termed going back to work harder than having kids. While talking about why Jennifer Love Hewitt now is not seen on the screens that much, she said:
“It’s been a little bit of a hard adjustment — much harder on me than my kids. My kids are like, ‘Great, we’ll get craft service.’ It’s been harder on me but it’s really great.”
Furthermore, she said:
“I needed to be a person for a while and have new things to bring back to my craft. I feel like I’ve done that now. It was really important for me to have children and be there. They’re these full-functioning, beautiful people now, and it’s great.”
While talking about taking a break, she said:
“There’s such a fear of saying, ‘I feel different after having children. Am I failing? Am I doing it differently from other moms?’ That feeling can be especially intense in Hollywood, where women feel pressured to be a size zero, but I’ve learned to accept my body for the baby-making wonder it is. You’ve made a human being, so relax on yourself a little bit.”
Currently, she is writing a children’s book and launching two wines with her husband.
