For fantasy fans, Netflix has landed another enchanting tale, A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish starring Laura Marano and Isabella Gomez. The movie has already premiered in the theaters on October first and gained pretty satisfying reviews from authentic resources. Netflix, however, premiered the movie on December 1 as it’s a festive treat.
This month, A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish is taken as one of the five best new movies and shows among the bunch of Netflix presentations that fans are craving for.
This new Cinderella Story film is the fifth one from the A Cinderella Story movie series, however, it is the first one showcasing the Christmas theme. The digital show of this film premiered in the theaters on October 15.
Netflix, in fact, launched the streaming of Christmas Wish on Dec. 1. The ensemble cast includes Laura Marano, Isabella Gomez, Gregg Sulkin, and Barclay Hope. Michelle Johnston (Nickelodeon’s Blurt), directed and penned the movie. He has also directed the last installment of A Cinderella Story. In addition, Johnston has choreographed the first four Cinderella series movies and also served as a producer on the past three.
Laura, the apprehensive Cinderella is appearing as Katherine “Kat” Decker in the film. She is an emerging singer-songwriter highly hopeful for a linear career progression. However, similar to the well-known Cinderella, she was bitterly antagonized by her ruthless stepfamily. Yes, the conventional stepmom and two stepsisters in a similar fairy tale fashion. Another villain in Kat’s life is her lampooning job. She performed as a singing elf at billionaire Terrence Wintergarden’s Santa Land. There Kat finds her soulmate, Nick (Gregg Sulkin).
The One Day at a Time actress Isabella Gomez is performing as Kat’s best friend Isla. Gomez has recently shared her experiences with A Cinderella Story: Christmas Wish on twitter:
As per the fantasy, Kat attended the “prestigious Wintergarden Christmas Gala” after struggling hard with her stepfamily’s manipulations. Her dog and best friend Isla became her fairy godmother, and via all those magical turns she gets to know about Nick’s real identity.
The first movie of the series, A Cinderella Story hit screens back in 2004, starring Hilary Duff and Chad Michael Murray in leading roles. The next one, Another Cinderella story cast Selena Gomez while Lucy Hale was the lead in A Cinderella Story: Once Upon a Song. The next in the series, A Cinderella Story: If the Shoe Fits, showcased Sofia Carson as Tessa.
