Julie Bowen is now going to be directing an episode for her own sitcom Modern Family!
The popular Claire Dunphy stepped into direction via her own show ‘Modern Family’. This is, in fact, her directorial debut. The actress will be steering a few episodes of the famous show. Her first directed episode, however, was aired on Wednesday, February 27.
It is, hence, the first time in ABC history that a cast member has directed an episode of the sitcom. She recently commented on her venture,
“It only took ten years, but I finally had the courage to direct an episode of @abcmodernfam Family. Turns out directing Ty Burrell just requires laughing. A lot. Thanks to all my lovely cast and crew for carrying me along. Check out the results this Wednesday, February 27th!!!”
Modern Family, actually, is telecasting its 11th/ final season. Besides, Ed O’Neill and Julie Bowen, the other cast includes Sofia Vergara, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, Eric Stonestreet, Sarah Hyland, Nolan Gould, Ariel Winter, and Rico Rodriguez.
The ABC show, premiered a decade ago is depicting fiction in a documentary mode. Hence this is an ABC’s mockumentary presentation. The show revolves around the family of Jay Pritchett (Ed O’Neill) residing in LA suburbs. The show, primarily, faced a bunch of criticism but later it became one of the most viewed shows of ABC. Modern family, in fact, has won the Emmy Award for Outstanding Comedy Series.
Aunt Gwen on Dawson’s Creek Was very positive after the finale episode of the 10th season that the mockumentary will definitely enter in its eleventh round. The eleventh and the final season aired in February 2019. As a matter of fact, Julie Bowen directed the episode, “Red Alert,” focusing on Lily (Aubrey Anderson-Emmons). Steve Levitan and Christopher Lloyd wrote the episodes for the show.
ABC’s Modern Family, first aired on September 23, 2009, in which Julie stars as Claire Dunphy paired with Ty Burrel as Phil Dunphy.
The show is highly acclaimed and, thus, earned six Primetime Emmy nominations for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series (2010–2015). The series, in fact, won two awards in 2011 and 2012 respectively. The ED actress also performed, outstandingly, in several films including Venus and Mars, Happy Gilmore, Sex and death, Multiplicity, Joe Somebody, Kids in America, Crazy on the Outside, Jumping the Broom and Horrible Bosses.
