People know Johnny Depp from his diverse acting roles in Hollywood. However, his musical projects rarely known by the wider public. Depp is part of a rock band known as the Hollywood Vampires, with Alice Cooper and Aerosmith guitarist Joe Perry. However, after his divorce with Amber Heard and its messy aftermath, his acting and musical career took a hit. But finally, Depp decided to treat his fans with a cover of John Lennon’s Isolation. He collaborated with Jeff Beck on this project.

Johnny Depp made the song long before anyone knew what a coronavirus is. It means that the songs’ lyrics have nothing to do with the lockdown and everything to do with Amber Heard. Fans speculate that he sang the song to vent and channel his feelings about Heard, after all their domestic violence drama. Certainly, the choice to cover Isolation must have to do with its lyrics:
