Believe it or not, it’s already been a year since Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner tied the knot. In order to celebrate their first wedding anniversary, Jonas has special plans for his wife.
It all began when a fan spotted them kissing back in 2016. After a mutual friend introduced them, Game of Thrones star and DNCE singer began dating. In 2017, the couple attended Paris fashion Week and Met Gala together. However, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner did not pose for the picture at Met. After a year of dating, Jonas proposed and Turner said yes. In order to celebrate their engagement, the couple threw a lavish party for their A-list celebrity friends and family members. Needless to say, they keep updating their fans about their private life via social media. On multiple occasions, they have been seen pulling pranks on paparazzi and being mischievous. In 2019, Joe Jonas and Sophie Turner had a surprise wedding in Vegas. After attending the Billboard Music Awards, they gathered their friends and family in a little white wedding chapel. Thanks to Diplo, the entire world saw them saying I Do on Instagram Live. Interestingly, they have an Elvis Presley impersonator at their wedding too. However, the official wedding ceremony came later in the South of France. In February this year, it was revealed that they are expecting their first child together.
In this week’s episode of The Late Late Show, James Corden interviewed Joe Jonas. While talking about his plans to celebrate his first wedding anniversary, Jonas said:
‘We legally got married in Vegas, so it’s our Vegas anniversary. “I think we would have gone back to Vegas. So, if you can keep a secret, I would say I might try to recreate Vegas in our house. I have a DJ set up. We could do a night club.’
When Corden suggested that he could dress up as Elvis, Joe Jonas said:
“Now you’re talking.”
After that Corden also made a suggestion that they could call the Elvis impersonator on Zoom, who officiated their wedding. To which Jonas said:
“This time, I’ll make sure he signs an N.D.A.”
Last time, the impersonator leaked information about their wedding to the press. Reminiscing their early dating life, Jonas said:
“We used to be the couple that every few days we would celebrate. So, it’d be like, we’ve been dating for a week, we’d have a party or a big dinner. We’ve been dating for a month…and we were that nauseating couple. Now, I think we’ve chilled out quite a bit.”
We wish the couple a very happy wedding anniversary!
