Fans Aren’t Happy John Krasinski Sells ‘Some Good News’

Published by

After eight episodes, John Krasinski has taken a break from Some Good News. Meanwhile, he also announced that CBS has bought the show. However, this news is not that good for some of his fans. They took to Twitter to express their rage.

In order to spread positivity and distract people from coronavirus, John Krasinski created Some Good News.

His first ever YouTube web series was launched on 29th March. During the COVID-19 pandemic, John Krasinski’s show brought a smile to everyone who watched it. Since its launch, 2.5 million people have subscribed to the show. Throughout the show, he brought interesting news which included small acts of kindness, heart-felt stories of neighborhoods, children bringing joy to their grandparents and some wholesome love stories. Not only that, Krasinski also surprised some of his fans with a Zoom wedding and a reunion of the entire cast of The Office just for the couple. He also made a nine-year-old girl’s day with a special performance by the cast of Hamilton. In order to celebrate the prom in quarantine, he held a special prom night where Jonas Brothers and Billie Eilish performed. After eight wholesome episodes, he bid goodbye to the show amid tears.

Recently, he announced that he sold the show to CBS but the news did not sit well with some fans.

In a tweet, John Krasinski announced:

Wow who can believe when we started this thing together we all just wanted good news to be more fully represented in our everyday lives. And now? You quite literally ARE the good news! Thanks to you, SGN lives on, joining the ranks of this historic news network! See you all soon!

However, this did not make everyone happy and some fans criticized John Krasinksi for selling Some Good News. One tweet suggested that it was supposed to be a feel-good show.

While another was disappointed that it would only be available to people who would subscribe.

Another follower wanted John Krasinski to donate the profits of the show.

Interestingly, one follower called this deal dirty.

All in all, people are not happy and they do not think that it is a good news.
