But when one of her covert missions results in a potential romance, it completely changes her life.
The actress portrayed Josie phenomenally, the journey of how an innocent woman falls in love but learns her lesson the hard way was shown remarkably by Barrymore. She brought out Josie in a sweet way where one cannot help but be in awe of the character, this may be the reason why people enjoyed this film the most.
6. The Wedding Singer
Another successful film starring the talented duo, Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore, is this 1998 rom-com. The film follows a suburbia wedding singer named Robbie Hart (Sandler) whose fiancée leaves him at the altar. He meets Julia (Barrymore), whom he believes to be engaged to the wrong person, and develops feelings for her. Hence, he tries to persuade Julia to choose him by showing her how awful her fiancé actually is.
The main leads gave an incredible performance, bringing in the perfect amount of humor, fun, and romance into the film. This film is what showed the audience how incredible the chemistry is between the two actors and what essentially birthed their other collaborations.
7. Grey Gardens
This 2009 HBO movie is based on a 1975 documentary of the same name. It is inspired by the real-life events of Big Eddie and Little Eddie. The film follows an unusual mother and daughter pair who live in solitude in a remote home for the entirety of their poor existence. Drew Barrymore played the role of ‘Little Eddie’ while Jessica Lange took on the role of ‘Big Eddie’.
The actress’s performance was well received by the audience and she also managed to get her first-ever Golden Globe for her performance. This film gave Barrymore a chance to prove yet again the incredible amount of talent that she possesses.

After that, a shadowy entity dressed as a rabbit emerges and tells him that the world would end in 28 days. This figure also has the power to coerce Donnie into performing a number of crimes.
Despite having a little part, Drew Barrymore excels in the supporting role of Karen, a teacher. The actress gave quite a memorable performance that was incredibly exceptional. And it’s one of the best Drew Barrymore movies out there.
