Who doesn’t remember Channing Tatum and his smoking performance in the 2012 film ‘Magic Mike’ and then ‘Magic Mike XXL’ in 2015? Well, the Hollywood star and handsome hunk is all set to get the audience crazy once more with his spectacular (smokin’) moves as Magic Mike Live is coming to Australia next year.
The star touched down in Melbourne today with his team of energetic dancers. He made the announcement at a media conference in Melbourne’s Plaza Ballroom. Tatum shared that the performances will be based on the live all-male strip shows inspired by his Magic Mike films.
Co-directed, produced, and curated by Channing Tatum himself; he describes the live performances as “equal parts empowering and exhilarating.”
For next year, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth are on the list. For the Australian tour, The Arcadia is being built and an announcement to tease the show is also ready:
“Magic Mike Live unfolds in front of, behind and above the audience, enveloping patrons in an unforgettable, 360-degree, whirlwind of dance, comedy and extraordinary acrobatics.”
The star of the show is excited about the Live performances he has prepared and he promised fans that they will “blow your minds.”
“It took a few years for it to all come together but, man, did it come together. We have something planned for Australia that is going to blow your minds.”
Channing Tatum said he knew Australia was the right audience for these Magic Mike live shows, because of how much the movies were loved there.
The movies did so amazingly here. We knew we had to figure out how to raise our game to do something this audience would love.
