For Millennials. By Millennials.
We are all still trying to process our emotions after that shocking twist in Game of Thrones Battle of Winterfell. After everyone’s heart was in shambles seeing our beloved characters die (R.I.P), Ser Jorah, Lyanna Mormont, Melisandre, and Theon, we didn’t want to see all of Winterfell become the land of the undead. The Night King was fast approaching Bran, who seemed more relaxed than he usually was. And then the best moment in all of cinematic history arrives.
Arya Stark kills the Night King in a heroic display of badassery.
But there’s an interesting theory going around the internet stating that Arya Stark will also kill Cersei. At this point, that’s not a shocking surprise. In this Game of Thrones season 8’s episode, we saw Arya Stark save the goddamn day while Daenerys and Jon Snow (Or Aegon Targaryan) massively fail at being the heroes they needed to be. Yes, Jon Snow tried to fight his way through to the Night King, and Khaleesi decided to save the army at Winterfell, where the army of the dead first struck.
But it was Arya Stark that ultimately killed the Night King. But it seems like Bran Stark (the third-eyed raven) and Melisandre (the Red Woman) already knew this would happen.
Remember when Melisandre and Arya Stark met for the first time? This is what the Red Woman tells her then.
Then after Arya, in stealth mode, kills the Wights in the House of Winterfell – the two women meet again. And Melisandre reminds her of what she has to do.
In Game of Thrones season 8, episode 3, this dialogue takes place:
Arya: “You said we’d meet again.”
Melisandre: “And here we are. At the end of the world.”
Arya: “You said I’d shut many eyes forever. You were right about that too.”
Melisandre: “Brown eyes. Green eyes. And blue eyes
Blue eyes meant Night King! And the prophecy was true. But what about the Green Eyes?
Cersei Is Probably Dying Next on Game of Thrones
The books mention that Cersei has green eyes explicitly. In the ” A Song of Ice and Fire,” when Cersei is first introduced, we are told that the emeralds match the ‘green’ of her eyes.
If that is any indication, then we are pretty sure that Arya Stark will be the one to assassinate the common enemy of both the Stark and Targaryen houses. Moreover, even her brothers Tyrion and Jamie have sided with her enemies.
Perhaps the showrunners would give either Jon Snow or even Jamie Lannister a chance to murder Cersei finally, we’re betting it would be Arya Stark.
