Marisa was only 14 years old when her mother became too sick to do the household chores. Basically, her mom had Type 2 diabetes. Because of this, she had to go through multiple amputations. As she was confined to her wheelchair, there wasn’t much she could do for Marisa and her son. Hence at the age of 14, she was looking after her mom and brother. In fact, she had anxiety attacks in school after which her counselor recommended to join Barnardo’s child-career service. Going there helped her a lot as she was able to connect with children going through the same problems as hers.
As a result of all that she did for her, Marisa’s mom thanked her daughter via text message on Capital FM. Later, she was invited for an interview with Roman Kemp while her mom stayed backstage. But she didn’t know that Roman Kemp had invited Billie Eilish to surprise her. So when she was telling her story to Roman, he pointed out that there was someone behind her. What she saw next made her cry. Billie Eilish was standing there. In fact, Billie told her that she was special and well-spoken and her mom was amazing as well whom she had just met.
