Spotify has reportedly removed 42 potentially controversial episodes of The Joe Rogan Experience from their platform, including one with Chris D'Elia.

Something strange is happening to The Joe Rogan Experience. Spotify removed 42 from Rogan’s podcast that had controversial guests. Moreover, one of the removed episodes had Chris D’Elia as his guest as well. This move came from the streaming giant after the podcast came under public scrutiny as a result of some of the controversial guests which Joe Rogan brought onto his show.

Spotify, which has exclusive rights to the podcast, reportedly removed two episodes recently, taking the tally of total deleted episodes to 42. The total number of episodes of the podcast is 1,631, with the most recently removed episode being 411. Rogan brought on Bulletproof Coffee creator Dave Asprey in that episode. Furthermore, the streaming service also removed episode 276, which was the “Live from the Icehouse” at a comedy club. The guests on that episode were Little Esther, Al Madrigal, Josh McDermitt, Brendon Walsh, Felicia Michaels, and Brian Redban.

Furthermore, the episodes do not appear on Joe Rogan’s PowerfulJRE YouTube channel either. Spotify has confirmed that they removed these episodes. However, they have not clearly stated the reason for doing so. It’s strange because some of the episodes Spotify removed were of those with non-controversial guests, such as comedians Joey Diaz and Brian Redban. Both have appeared on the podcast multiple times.

Another noteworthy episode that Spotify removed was that featured Chris D’Elia. D’Elia has recently been embroiled in multiple allegations of sexual misconduct, which include sexually harassing underage girls. Spotify also removed episodes with guests belonging to far-right organizations, such as Proud Boys founder Gavin McInnes, Infowars personality Alex Jones and Milo Yiannopoulos, and others. However, the recent episode with Jones is still available on Spotify. Back in February, Rogan was also asked by guest comedian Fahim Anwar about some of the removed episodes. However, Spotify’s move didn’t bother him much, as the host said:

They don’t give a f**k man. They haven’t given me a hard time at all. There were a few episodes they didn’t want on their platform. I was like, ‘OK, I don’t care.
