Months after the popular Sofia Richie and Scott Disick breakup, we finally know what the reason behind it was.
In case you do not remember, rumors of the couple having split were afoot soon after Scott went to rehab. However, these rumors were confirmed after some time when Sofia revealed that Scott and she had separated. She said at the time that she wants him to focus on his health.
It was later shared that the two exes were not even on speaking terms anymore. And now we know what the reason behind their split was.
Why Sofia And Scott Broke Up
It turns out that Sofia was not ready for how serious her relationship with Scott was getting. She was not ready to be a stepmom to his three kids that he shares with Kourtney Kardashian. While Sofia is only 22 years old, Scott is 37. She felt like he was a bit more serious about the relationship than she was. And she could not be that serious at her age.
Richie also wanted some time to herself rather than be a stepmom to 10-year-old Mason, 8-year-old Penelope, and 5-year-old Reign.
What Is She Doing Now?
Sofia is currently being linked with 27-year-old Cha Cha Matcha co-founder, Matthew Morton. However, a source told ET Online that the two are not in a relationship.
“Sofia Richie is at a time in her life when she’s not looking for anything too serious when it comes to relationships,” the source said.
The source also cleared up that Sofia does not currently have a boyfriend. She is not looking to rush into anything. However, Matthew is a cool guy and the two hit it off instantly.
Sofia is not putting labels on anything. She is just having fun, living her best life, and dating casually.
However, Scott and the 22-year-old supermodel have a history of breaking up and getting back together. Could this be another one of those times? The reason for the breakup makes that very likely.
“Getting back together would be easy, but Sofia doesn’t want to go backward,” the source shared.
But I guess this is for the better since I am still rooting for Scott to end up with Kourtney, the mother of his children.
