For Millennials. By Millennials.
By the looks of it, many people have adored the British comedy-drama Sex Education. But only real television fans might have wondered where they have seen Sofia Marchetti. Here’s a hint- you might know the famous actress Hannah Waddingham from Game of Thrones. And even if that does not click, here’s a bigger hint- she played Septa Unella in seasons 5 and 6 of HBO’s fantasy drama. But, well, nobody could spot it as the same woman. And the official Netflix Twitter account for UK and Ireland had to point it out to bring it into the open for us. Other than Game of Thrones, you might have spotted the well-established actress elsewhere in British comedies because, honestly put, she’s popular!
Hannah Waddingham Appeared Both on ‘Sex Education’ and ‘Game of Thrones’
For those who are binge-watching Netlix’s latest British comedy-drama series, Sex Education, they might have noticed one familiar face. Doesn’t Sofia Marchetti, one of Jackson’s (Kedar Williams) two mothers, look familiar? Well, she does. Hannah Waddingham, the actress who played this role, is also famous for her infamous dialogues in HBO’s fantasy drama Game of Thrones. She played Septa Unella in seasons 5 and 6. But even if that does not click, she was the woman who shouted ‘Shame’ at Cersei Lannister.
Her most notable appearances on Game of Thrones include her forcing Cersei Lannister to admit her crimes after her arrest by the High Sparrow. And then she’s the same Septa who shouted ‘Shame’ during her punishments.
To break this out to us, Netflix UK’s Twitter account made a post sharing two images side by side- one from her role in Sex Education and the other one from Game of Thrones. And well, they even poked some fun using her infamous ‘Shame’ dialogue.
Hannah Waddingham is a famous actress who also appears in other British comedies. And that includes My Family, Benidorm and Not Going Out.
