Here’s everything we know so far about Ozark season 4 part 2 release date
We know that the entire season 4 of Ozark has completed filming. The part 1 was released a few days ago and Ozark season 4 part 2 is going to be out soon. It probably is in the post-production phase.
We can expect part 2 to come to Netflix in late 2022 or perhaps even in early 2023.
The creator Chris Mundy shared why they split Ozark’s finale season into two parts:
“We always thought five [seasons] was the outside number,“I felt like after that, we didn’t want to repeat ourselves. We didn’t want it to feel like the show was going on because it was a TV show and it had to go on. So really, the decision has always been between ‘is it four [seasons] or is it five,’ and then Netflix came up with the idea of saying, ‘We’re going to do four, but we’re going to make it long and break it up this way,’ and that felt perfect.”
There are 14 episodes in total for Ozark season 4.

What to expect from Ozark season 4 part 2
We see that at the end of part 1, a lot happens. And by a lot, we do mean A LOT. Darlene and Wyatt die! Darlene’s death was imminent because of her reckless and impulsive behavior which made her a lot of enemies. But Wyatt didn’t deserve this. He was loyal to her and through this connection, he also died. By the hands of Javi, Navarro’s nephew, who is somehow even more dangerous than Navarro himself.
Plus, his patience with Marty and Wendy Byrde is now over when Omar Novarro is taken into custody by the FBI thanks to the actions of one overtly righteous Maya Miller. Javi almost kills Marty but Wendy sits with Navarro and convinces him to call Javi and to tell him that he was working with the FBI all along.
Javi eventually accepts the deal that his uncle agreed to with the FBI. So, the Byrdes are finally getting their freedom. But things aren’t so simple with Ozark!
Ruth finds out that Wyatt and Darlene are dead. First she suspects Frank Jr. who was going to kill Darlene to avenge his father’s death. Frank Sr. also died if you recall. (Yes, too many people died in just 6 episodes)
But Ruth stops Frank Jr. to kill Darlene because Wyatt is deciding to stay with her and marry her for Zeke. After Frank Jr. assures Ruth that he didn’t kill Darlene and Wyatt, Ruth makes the connection that the Byrdes had something to do with it. She ends up at their house and demands to know who killed Wyatt and Darlene. While Marty and Wendy are refusing to reveal any names, Jonah tells that Javi was the one who killed them and is willing to help him.
Ruth is not going to stop until she gets revenge for Wyatt’s death, she couldn’t kill Marty and Wendy to avenge Ben’s death. But with Wyatt dead, she was even willing to do even that.
She’s at a critical traumatic stage where she simply does not care and won’t stop until she kills Javi. We don’t know what will happen in the upcoming Ozark season 4 part 2 though. Ruth might attempt to kill Javi herself and end up getting help from the Byrdes. Or she might end up teaming up with Javi against the Byrdes (because you never really know what crazy twist Ozark showrunners will come up with).
The cast that will return
We’ll probably be seeing the core cast, Marty Byrde (Jason Bateman), Wendy Byrde (Laura Linney), Jonah Byrde (Skylar Gaertner), Charlotte (Sofia Hublitz), Ruth (Julia Garner), Omar Novarro (Felix Solis), Javi (Alfonso Herrera), Frank Jr. (Joseph Sikora), Agent Maya Miller (Jessica Frances Dukes), Jim (Damian Young), new comer Mel Stattem (Adam Rothenberg) and of course Clare Shaw (Katrina Lenk). We’ll also be seeing Three (Carson Holmes) as he is quite literally the only family Ruth has left. Sam (Kevin L. Johnson) might make a few appearances and Helen’s daughter Erin (Madison Thompson) might return too.
Wyatt (Charlie Tahan) and Darlene Snell (Lisa Emery) might come in flashback episodes but they won’t be there for present-day. Neither will Frank Sr. (John Bedford Lloyd) and the Sheriff (Robert C. Treveiler).
