TikTok star Hunter “Echo” Ecimovic has been at the center of severe controversy recently. He recently made the revelation on Instagram that he once dated the underaged actress Millie Bobbie Brown when she was 16 years old while he was 20. Moreover, he further described some alleged sexual encounters he had with the actress which seemed quite discomforting. As a result, critics on social media called him a child groomer and a pedophile. Now, the TikToker has apologized for his remarks, saying he said those things drunk and that they never happened.

After his startling revelations, Hunter Echo went on TikTok to apologize for his demeanor. He revealed that he was too drunk and that his “confessions” were entirely false. He said going live on Instagram was a huge mistake, saying:
I wanted to address the live stream incident that happened. It should have never happened in the first place. That was a stupid idea on my part to think it was gonna be OK to just continue to go live as it was getting more and more negative in the comments. I put up a livestream for about two to three hours, and in those two to three hours I was getting more and more drunk. After I kept seeing how negative the comments were and hearing or seeing whatever people were saying to me—when they don’t know about anything—it was getting me more and more irritated.
Echo then later that it was indeed the alcohol that made him careless. As a result, he continued:
I said stuff that should have never been said. But my natural instinct when I see people doing that kind of stuff, or when I see what people are saying, I’m like, OK, let’s make it way worse and let’s antagonize, which is so stupid. But that’s how I decided to handle it.
Furthermore, Echo kept apologizing for the live stream, saying how immature he was and that
The live stream, I am sorry for. I’m not proud at all of how I spoke. It sounded very immature, it looked horrible. It looked horrible on my family, it looked horrible on me, it looked horrible on my friends. I am sorry for doing that live stream, I should have ended it the moment it started getting bad. But I chose not to, I said what I said, and I can’t take that back. I just want you to know that I’m not OK with what I said. I’m not trying to justify it at all. I just want you guys to know that I’m not OK with how I went about stuff.
Hunter Echo admitted to grooming Millie Bobby Brown, a minor
The live stream that Hunter Echo is talking about caused a lot of stir on social media. There, he admitted to having dated and performed sexual activities with Millie Bobby Brown. Furthermore, he revealed that it was with the permission of her parents, responding to claims of a lawsuit:
I was living at Millie’s house for eight months. How the f*** is that a lawsuit? I thought her mom and dad knew about everything.
Moreover, Echo even said that he is not apologizing for anything, continuing:
I have nothing to apologize for, so make that clear. I have zero things to apologize for. You guys do not know a single thing at all.
After Echo’s antics on social media, Millie Bobby Brown was quick to respond, but through her representatives instead of social media. In a statement to TMZ, the Stranger Things star said:
Mr. Ecimovic’s remarks on social media are not only dishonest but also are irresponsible, offensive and hateful. Instead of engaging in a public discourse with him through the press or on social media, we are taking action to ensure that he stops this behavior once and for all.
After releasing his lengthy TikTok apology, Hunter Echo deactivated all of his social media accounts. He has a following of more than 1.6 million on TikTok and well above 100,000 followers on Instagram. Apart from the session, Echo also revealed pictures of himself with Brown. However, it is unclear when those pictures were taken.
