Elon Musk & Grimes Can’t Actually Name Their Kid X Æ A-12

As it turns out, Elon Musk and Grimes can't name their baby 'X Æ A-12'. And it has to do with legal work. Here are the reasons!

I‘m pretty sure that Elon Musk and Grime’s baby is the most famous baby in the world right now. But, it has more to do with his name than it does with who his parents are. The child, or X Æ A-12, will have a field day when he’ll see the memes that were made about his name. However, it looks like that won’t be happening, and the reasons for that are legal.

Elon Musk can’t use that name because of the law

As we all know, Musk and Grimes named their baby X Æ A-12. And they weren’t kidding about it since Grimes tweeted what each letter and symbol means:

However, it looks like Elon Musk and Grimes are in for some disappointment. And for that, they have to thank the Californian government. TMZ recently inquired from the Department of Public Health Vital Records Office in Los Angeles, which is the jurisdiction where the baby was born.

According to the law, any person’s name must only include the 26 letters of the English alphabet. And that isn’t the case with Elon Musk and Grime’s baby since it has the Æ and 12.

By the looks of it, the couple will have to let go of this name for the baby. They’ll be pretty bummed about it since the two had given so much thought to the name. However, there might be some ways with which they can change the baby’s name.

How can Musk use this name?

There’s one way with which Elon Musk can have this name for the baby – lobbying. However, that is going to take a lot of effort. He has to invest heavily in the next elections in the candidate of his choice and lobby in favor of being allowed to name your child with alphabets and symbols other than the English alphabets.

Now, that will take some serious effort on behalf of Elon Musk. He’ll have to invest millions in politicians so that they get elected and then lobby his way through the State Senate and Congress to have this bill approved. Sounds like a lot of work, right?

Or maybe he can just name him Steve, or Michael, or Kyle, anything. But that’s his and Grimes’ choice.
