For Millennials. By Millennials.
Dixie D’Amelio released his new song a week ago which is named ‘Psycho’. In the video, she takes us through the mental journey of a woman being cheated on but we discovered something else about the video as well. Dixie said that the song was actually inspired by real events, which was a jaw-dropping cheating story.
Dixie is famous for being a TikTok star but she recently started releasing her music. Her songs ‘F**kboy’ and ‘Be Happy’ are quite famous among Gen-Z and millennials. She even released tracks with some of the famous musicians like Wiz Kalifa and Lil Mosey. A week ago, Dixie released another track on YouTube and it already has 1 million views. The new banger features Rubi Rose and we loved the collab of two artists. However, Dixie received mixed reviews on her new track. Some of her fans loved everything about the video, including the visuals, the lyrics, and the voice. However, some said that she can do better.

Dixie’s new track shows us the lengths a scorned partner goes to in order to figure out if her man is cheating on her or not. The partner turns into a psycho trying to figure out if their partner is cheating, which is ironically enough also the title of the song. Some of us might be able to relate to her song, but let’s see if Dixie relates to her song or not. Dixie revealed that what was seen in the video did not happen to her but to a close friend of hers.
She appeared on the Zach Sang show recently and talked about her new song. She also revealed how a friend of hers was getting cheated on. Dixie D’Amelio said:
I kind of wrote it about other people’s relationships and what I have seen. I have a friend who was dating this guy. And the guy was texting girls off the girl’s phone. So, [texting them] off his girlfriend’s phone and deleting the messages. But like, ‘Hey, I wanna hang out. All three of us should hang out.’ All that stuff.
She found out because she went on her laptop, and it came up through the iCloud messages.
Dixie also said that this was the main inspiration for her new track ‘Psycho’. She revealed that the whole point of her new song is that someone will literally make you have to check your text messages checking what they’ve done, but you’re not doing anything.
