According to Politico, Trump has sent a legal cease-and-desist notice to the Republican party. with regards to the usage of his name. One of his unnamed advisors said in a quote:

President Trump remains committed to the Republican party and electing America First conservatives, but that doesn’t give anyone – friend or foe – permission to use his likeness without explicit approval.

The report further said that Donald Trump was irked at National Republican Congressional Committee (NRCC) and the National Republican Senatorial Committee (NRSC) using his name in fundraising efforts for Republicans who voted for his impeachment. Despite Trump’s loss in the 2020 US Elections to Joe Biden, his influence on the Republicans perseveres. Politico reported further:

Privately, GOP campaign types say it’s impossible not to use Trump’s name, as his policies are so popular with the base. If Trump really wants to help flip Congress, they argue he should be more generous. His team, however, sees this differently.

Liz Cheney, House No. 3 Republican, was one of the 10 Republican candidates who voted to impeach Trump. The second impeachment was in reaction to the January 6th US Capitol Riots, which left 5 people dead. As a result, she has had to face protest and will face challenges for her seat from within the Republicans. Moreover, other candidates who voted against Trump are also going to face similar fights in primaries. Meanwhile, Mitt Romney is the only Republican to vote for Trump’s impeachment twice.

The ultimate verdict of the impeachment went in favor of Trump. And as a result, he is free to run for office again in 2024. And the 74-year-old former US President has toyed with the idea of running for election again.
