Demi Lovato is one strong lady. After everything that life throws at her, she gets back up stronger than ever and learns from every little thing.
And that’s what happened when Demi Lovato and Max Ehrich decided to end their engagement. The news of their split came just two months after they announced their engagement. And only a couple of days after Demi had opened up about her wedding.
After the breakup, Max took to the Instagram story to claim how he found out about the breakup. He wrote saying, “Imagine finding out to the status of your relationship through a tabloid.”
However, People magazine published an article which claimed that Max knew the relationship was over before the information hit the press.
While all this was happening, Demi Lovato had remained silent on the issue. Until a recent interview on Today with Hoda and Jenna. She opened up about some valuable lessons she has learned this year, especially after the breakup.
She shared how she had to put certain career plans on hold because of the coronavirus pandemic. At the beginning of the year, Demi was planning on having a pretty eventful year career-wise.
She was planning her comeback and releasing an album. However, she is thankful to God that she did not release it when she wanted to. Demi now knows she had still so much to experience.
Demi Lovato Talks About Her Lessons
The singer then shared what she has learned from all the hardships of this year.
“I think the most important thing that I’ve learned is how much I am OK with myself and loving myself,” she said. “It wasn’t until this year that I really started exploring the things that bring joy to my life in little ways.”
Demi also opened up about the timing of her song, “Still Have Me” that she released immediately after her breakup.
“When I write my songs. When I go to the studio and record them. It’s a very cathartic and therapeutic experience for me. And so, anytime I go thorough something. Especially when I don’t say things publicly or comment on certain situations. I just let my music comment on it,” Demi explained.
While talking about the future, Demi also expressed gratitude for being able to host the People’s Choice Awards. She shared how glad she felt to be on a stage, alive and well, after the year we have all had.
Demi Lovato’s entire interview was about finding joy in the little things, loving yourself, and learning from things life throws at you. We wish her all the best for what is yet to come.
