Netflix has confirmed via a tweet that Ozark season 4 will also be the show’s final season. In a formal statement from Netflix it has been revealed that the next season of Ozark will be its last. Ozark season 4 will have 14 episodes. And these will be split into two parts, with seven episodes each.
Jason Bateman not only stars as Marty Byrde but also is the executive producer of the show. He also directs a number of episodes in each season. In a previous statement he said:
“I know how it ends, and it’s great.”
Ever since Season 3 has premiered on Netflix, the release date of Ozark Season 4 is something that every fan of the series is waiting for. Followers have already binge-watched season 3 of the crime drama series which was released on March 27th. It is available to stream on Netflix. And many fans are watching it again just because it is that good.
The show has become hugely popular. It will be exciting to see Byrdes in the Ozark season 4 after what happened in season 3 finale. Fans are excited to know the end since the whole family is involved in the money laundering business. What happens to Marty Byrde and his wife, Wendy? Ozark Season 4 release date
Due to the COVID-19, the filming has continuously been delayed but it is predicted by main star Jason Bateman that production of the fourth season will start in November 2020. However, nothing is confirmed due to the unpredictable times. Jason Bateman, the Emmy-winning director show’s main lead and show’s main lead, had an interview with IndieWire in August.
He revealed that production is currently due to start in November 2020, with safety measures in place against the virus:
“We are going to start November 9. Everything is moving well toward that, and we are very confident in the guidelines and protocols we are going to be following. We’ve got tons of consultants, [and] we’re learning a lot from other productions.”
Considering the time it takes, we might be getting Ozark season 4 in late 2021.
What will Ozark Season 4 bring us?
Over the past three seasons, we have seen the Byrde duo take on dodgy clients. Linking various loved ones into their felonious endeavors, which as a result, led to a few upsetting deaths during the last series.
With the Byrdes having finally won over cartel leader Omar Navarro, will the family be facing smaller number of foes whilst chasing their illegal business in season four? Or would they be taking a deal with the FBI before their good luck finally runs out?
In the expanded season we will see Marty Byrde played by Jason Bateman and his wife Wendy played by Laura Linney. They will continue their illegal dealings in the hilly Ozarks after their initial money laundering scheme in Chicago went amiss. It will be bringing the Byrde family’s dirty dealings with the Navarro drug cartel to a thrilling end.
Will Tom Pelphrey also be a part of finale?
Showrunner Chris Mundy confirmed via the virtual PaleyFest 202 that famous season three debutant Tom Pelphrey played by Ben Davis, will not be returning for the fourth installment. But other than that, we can expect Marty, Wendy, and their family to return for their last portrayal as Byrde family.
