However, there has been no sequel since its release in 1993. Recently, Sarah Jessica Parker teased the fans of the film with a hint to a sequel.

However, with the passage of time, it has become a cult classic and is celebrated by the fans every year near Halloween. The story revolves around three witches who are sisters and want to be young forever. After three hundred years, they are resurrected by a teenage boy in Salem on Halloween night. What follows is hilarity, mishaps and a bit of horror. The cast of the film include Bette Midler, Sarah Jessica Parker, Kathy Nijamy, Omri Katz and Thora Birch. While the original film was released in 1993, there has been no sequel yet.
Recently, Sarah Jessica Parker hinted at a sequel of Hocus Pocus and the fans could not be happier.
During an interview with SiriusXM’s Radio Andy, Sarah Jessica Parker talked about the sequel of the Halloween cult film. She said:
“I think that it is something Bette Midler, Kathy Najimy and I are all very hospitable to the idea. I think for a long time, people were talking about it as if people were moving forward with it in a real way but we were unaware of it. We’ve agreed publicly to the right people, yes, that would be a very, very fun idea, so we’ll see what the future holds.”
Previously, it was reported that Sarah Jessica Parker starrer film is under development for Disney+. However, other details are not yet revealed. Hopefully, we see the witch trio reunited on Halloween this year.
