After 17 years, everyone’s favorite siblings, the cast of Cheaper by the Dozen, has reunited. On Instagram, Hilary Duff posted a TikTok video of her film family. They came together to raise funds for No Kid Hungry.
Although it is a remake of the 1950s film, the 2003 version became an instant favorite among families.
Based on a semi-autobiographical book of Frank Bunker Gilbreth Jr., the film is directed by Shawn Levy. At the time of its release, Cheaper by the Dozen grossed nearly 190 million dollars. After the success of the first film, the sequel was released in 2005. The story revolves around Tom, Kate, and their twelve children. In order to support his wife’s career, Tom agrees to look after the children while she goes on a book tour. However, it is not easy handling that many kids. At the same time, they all start to make trouble at home and at school. This results in chaos, arguments, and mayhem. The incredible family dynamics and shenanigans of the Baker family led ‘Cheaper by the Dozen’ to win Young Artist Awards in multiple categories.
Recently, Cheaper by the Dozen cast reunited and recreated some of the most iconic scenes.
In an Instagram post, Hilary Duff tagged co-stars Bonnie Hunt, Piper Perabo, Kevin G. Schmidt, Alyson Stoner, Jacob Smith, Morgan York, Shane Kinsman, Brent Kinsman, Forrest Landis, and Blake Woodruff. The Cheaper by the Dozen reunited and created favorite scenes from the film. In the caption, Duff wrote:
“Surprise! From the Baker family to yours. We are all in this together.”
Although fans loved seeing their favorite family come together again, there was another special reason behind this reunion. In order to raise funds for No Kid Hungry, an organization feeding families during the COVID-19 pandemic, the cast reunited. Hilary Duff also encouraged her fans to donate to the organization.
It would not be wrong to say that fans are ready for Cheaper by the Dozen 3. We hope it happens soon.
