Riverdale is a town full of mysteries and mysterious happenings. So, it is kind of expected when our cast is put through weird situations in order to ‘build’ the suspense. Cole Sprouse, KJ Apa, Lili Reinhart, Camila Mendes, Casey Cott, and others are always caught up in one web or another. Since the release of the season 4 trailer, fans have been watching promos and flash forward scenes to the death of Cole Sprouse’s character, Jughead Jones. And it finally happened. However, as some pondered why Betty Cooper was seen with the rock in her hand, others wondered about the fate of their favorite, Cole Sprouse on the show.
The fate of Cole Sprouse’s Jughead Jones on Riverdale revealed
So, after 2 suspense-filled episodes, Riverdale reveals what really happened on the Ides of March party. And let us tell you, our predictions were true! You can take a breath of ease now. Seemingly, Jughead is not going anywhere.
In Season 4, Episode 15 “Chapter Seventy-Two” Riverdale shows how things went down the night Cole’s character “faked his death”. Betty and the gang found themselves in a conundrum to protect their best friend. So, we all have them to thank for keeping Jughead alive. Also the beanie!
But it is not like there was not a murder planned. Donna Sweet, played by Sarah Desjardins, was planning to murder jughead. But, as she and her crew celebrated the fact that they got away with the murder, it was far from the truth. Jughead’s signature beanie literally became a lifesaver! They hit him on the head. But his beanie took most of the blow. Then, we find Betty and the gang taking the blame. Hence, Betty holding the rock. They even twisted Archie (KJ Apa) and Betty (Lili Reinhart) into a couple! in the end, the gang mourned while Jughead hid in a bunker this whole time trying to make his demise believable. Again, cliche!
To be honest, the revelation was a bit too anticlimactic and extremely predictable! Not exactly suspense creating, Riverdale. We hope they makers add something actually suspense as this, was not at all up to the mark. Almost as if, they are trying to drag the show.
