Although it’s rare in Hollywood to have long-lasting friendships, there are some BFFs who have stayed together through thick and thin. Similarly, Sabrina Carpenter and Joey King are complete friendship goals.
As a singer and actress, Sabrina Carpenter started her career in 2011
With an appearance in the crime series, ‘Law and Order’, she began her acting career. Later, Sabrina Carpenter starred in a sitcom, ‘The Goodwin Games’. However, she touched stardom with her character, Maya Hart, in the Disney Channel’s series, ‘Girl Meets World’. In 2013, Sabrina Carpenter signed a record deal with Hollywood Records and thus began her singing career. Soon after, she released her first song, ‘Can’t Blame a Girl For Trying’. In 2018, she starred on the film based on Angie Thomas’ novel, ‘The Hate U Give’. So far, Sabrina Carpenter has released five music albums which have won her multiple awards.
On the other hand, Joey King made her acting debut in 2008 with ‘Reign Over Me’
Starring opposite Adam Sandler in her first film was a huge opportunity for Joey King. After that, she lent her voice for animated films like ‘Horton Hears a Who’ and ‘Ice Age’. However, her first lead role came in 2010 with ‘Ramona and Beezus’. Since then, Joey King has worked in many mainstream films like ‘Crazy, Stupid Love’, Christopher Nolan’s ‘The Dark Knight Rises’, ‘The Conjuring’ and ‘The Kissing Booth’. To-date, Joey King’s groundbreaking performance has been in ‘The Act’. Starring opposite Patricia Arquette, she played Gypsy Rose Blanchard. The mini-series was based on the true story of a mother-daughter duo.
While both actresses have successful careers, not many know that Sabrina Carpenter and Joey King are best friends
Although their friendship can be credited to their respective Disney careers, it became solid when King starred in Sabrina Carpenter’s music video, ‘Sue Me’. While talking about their friendship, Carpenter said:
“I’ve actually been talking to so many people about this recently because we could totally do a Tina Fey/Amy Poehler style comedy. We have so much fun together. We had the best time making the ‘Sue Me’ video.”
Recently, both the actresses were seen hanging out together in New York. In an Instagram post that Carpenter posted, BFFs were seen catching up over french fries. The caption said:
we r the devil and the angel on ur shoulders lol
The post got hundreds of comments including some celebrities like Noah Cyrus and Liza Koshy. This friendship sure is making us envious. When are my friends coming over with a plate of fries?!
