Our Wonder Woman– Gal Gadot has finally become a Disney princess. She has officially joined the cast for ‘Ralph Breaks the Internet‘. It looks like a glimpse into how the future would be if Disney takes over Warner Bros.
Gal Gadot will be the voice for Shank in Ralph Breaks the Internet– a sequel to the 2012 animated movie Wreck-it Ralph. Apparently, Shank is a gritty leather-clad street-racing star from a video game named ‘Slaughter Race’. Disney has only released a small teaser yet. Vanellope von Schweetz – a sugar rush champion played by Sarah Silverman is in competition with Gal Gadot’s character. The short clip out is fun. But it shows how Gal Gadot was practically manufactured in a laboratory to do this voice-acting.
A statement from the Walt Disney Animation Studios itself announced the decision. It further presented a whole overview of the movie as well as the role of Gal Gadot’s character – Shank. It said that,
Ralph and Vanellope encounter Shank and her unusual cohorts when they venture to the internet in search of a replacement part for Vanellope’s game, Sugar Rush. Shank, a tough-as-nails street racer, takes her role and her tricked-out car very seriously and doesn’t like to lose. When Vanellope finds herself in a street race with Shank, her Sugar Rush driving skills are put to the test–and Shank is impressed.
There’s more than just Gal Gadot in the teaser for Ralph Breaks the Internet. The movie has given us a rare sight with an assembly of Disney princesses all packed into one scene. And maybe that’s the one moment of the film that actually fulfills the title completely. But fans are surely going to have varied views on all of it. Be it Cinderella chilling with Pocahontas or the dig at Pixar.
Gal Gadot has been fairly popular in the past. She launched her film career by playing Gisele Yashar in the Fast and Furious franchise. Later, her popularity graph heightened when she became the Wonder Woman in 2016’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. She’s currently filming another one for the same role- Wonder Woman 1984.
The actress herself loves her role as the Shank. She shared the news on her Twitter, and was pretty excited about the whole affair.
It looks like the Wonder Woman has everyone impressed on the sets again. Phil Johnston- the writer and director for Ralph Breaks the Internet has praised Gal Gadot’s skills as a voice actor. He said that she had texture and living in her voice. And that he can not imagine anybody other than Gal Gadot for the part.
The Wonder Woman fans are desperately waiting for the animated sequel to release which is due in November this year.
