The biggest award night of the year is here! There are big movies that came out this year that both critics and the audience have loved. For instance, the war tale of Sam Mendes’ ‘1917’ to the heartbreaking reality of divorce in Noah Baumbach’s ‘Marriage Story’. We also had the groundbreaking movie ‘Parasite’ that highlighted our social class system. Plus, we had Joaquin Pheonix’s legendary performance in Todd Philips’ ‘Joker’. Plus, it was a delight to see the story of Ford V. Ferrari. And of course, no Oscar season would be complete without one Quentin Tarantino movie being nominated in all of the major categories. Lastly, Martin Scorsese’s The Irishman is sure to win plenty of awards. Although all of the movies were worthy of Oscar Nominations, it was a crime for ‘Little Women’ to not be nominated. In fact, no female directors were nominated this time, something that is deeply troubling. Hopefully, all of this may possibly change in the coming years, we still want to see who wins the awards in the most prestigious event of the year.
