After three years together, Emma Roberts and Garrett Hedlund have called it quits. They began dating in 2019 and announced that Roberts was pregnant in August 2020. At the end of 2020, they welcomed their son, Rhodes. While the couple have split, they are working on co-parenting their son. Hedlund was arrested for DUI after a couple of hours of his breakup with Emma. He is also facing a lawsuit at the moment.

However, prior to dating each other, they both had been engaged once. While Garrett Hedlund was engaged to Kristen Dunst, who he dated from 2012 to 2016. Emma Roberts, on the other hand, got engaged to her co-star, Evan Peters. They dated from 2012 to 2019. However, they both called off their engagements. In an interview, Roberts talked about dating in public eye and said:
“It’s hard enough to be with someone by yourself, let alone with an audience. Growing up is hard. Sometimes it makes me sad that I can’t have a private moment. Because of Twitter and Instagram, there’s a whole other element where everybody can comment on what you’re doing, and no one knows the real story. That’s hard. … I know what’s true, and I know what happened in my own life, and so do the people that love me and who I love.”
Recently, Emma Roberts and Hedlund announced their breakup.
At the end of 2020, the couple welcomed their son, Rhodes. Last month, Emma Roberts and Garrett Hedlund celebrated his first birthday. And they chose the rodeo theme for his birthday. According to Rhodes’ mom, she loved every second of the special day. A few days back, the couple announced that they are breaking up. According to a source closer to them:
“It’s sad, and they are trying their best to co-parent. It’s been hard.”
Hedlund is facing a lawsuit at the moment
As per reports, Garrett Hedlund was arrested in Tennessee for public intoxication with a bond set at $2100. He is also facing a lawsuit for negligence after getting involved in a head-on collision. According to Marina Venegas and her daughter, Jennifer Castillo:
He passed out behind the wheel of his vehicle and ran a solid red-light at a high rate of speed crashing into us. Garrett Hedlund knew he was drinking to the point of severe intoxication before getting behind the wheel of his Jeep.
Garret pleaded no contest to one count of DUI and was found guilty. He is also facing a sentence of 36 months of probation with a nine-month course for alcohol and drug education. However, this was all back in 2020 and does not seem to be the reason behind his breakup with Emma Roberts. So far, the couple has not responded to the news.
