Recently, Britney Spears send her sister a cease and desist letter over her book.

After going back and forth on social media, Britney Spears have decided to take legal action against Jamie Lynn and her book. According to her lawyer, Matthew Rosengart, Jamie Lynn’s memoir is ill-timed and contains misleading claims against Britney Spears. Furthermore, he said:

“Although Britney has not read the book, she believes her sister has “exploited her for monetary gain. She will not tolerate it, nor should she. Publicly airing false or fantastical grievances is wrong, especially when designed to sell books. It is also potentially unlawful and defamatory. You recently reportedly stated that the book was ‘not about her.’ She takes you at your word and we, therefore, demand that you cease and desist from referencing Britney derogatorily during your promotional campaign. If you fail to do so or defame her, Britney will be forced to consider and take all appropriate legal action.”

So far, Jamie Lynn have not responded to the cease and desist letter. However, she will surely reply in a matter of time.
