Hollywood Celebs Slam Trump for Tweets About California Wildfires
Hollywood celebrities slammed Trump on Twitter for blaming the California Forest Management for the California fires
Donald Trump has not been Hollywood’s favorite person. Since the beginning of his campaign, celebrities have criticized the way he handles his Twitter. This Saturday was no different. Trump wrote a chain of tweets. He expressed his sympathies for California fires’ survivors. He also blamed the California authorities for poor forest management. Celebrities were quick to slam Trump for his tweets.
Trumps Tweets to Blame California Forest Management
Donald Trump wrote and posted a series of tweets. He blamed the California forest management for the California wildfires. In these tweets, he recorded how much damage has happened. He said that it was due to the poor management of the California authorities.
There is no reason for these massive, deadly and costly forest fires in California except that forest management is so poor. Billions of dollars are given each year, with so many lives lost, all because of gross mismanagement of the forests. Remedy now, or no more Fed payments!

More than 4,000 are fighting the Camp and Woolsey Fires in California that have burned over 170,000 acres. Our hearts are with those fighting the fires, the 52,000 who have evacuated, and the families of the 11 who have died. The destruction is catastrophic. God Bless them all.
— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) November 10, 2018
These California fires are expanding very, very quickly (in some cases 80-100 acres a minute). If people don’t evacuate quickly, they risk being overtaken by the fire. Please listen to evacuation orders from State and local officials!

With proper Forest Management, we can stop the devastation constantly going on in California. Get Smart!

Official Reaction
After Trump’s tweet, there was a rebuttal. The official response came from California Professional Firefighters President Brian K. Rice;
“Wildfires are sparked and spread not only in forested areas but in populated areas and open fields fueled by parched vegetation, high winds, low humidity and geography. Moreover, nearly 60 percent of California forests are under federal management, and another two-thirds under private control. It is the federal government that has chosen to divert resources away from forest management, not California. Natural disasters are not “red” or “blue” – they destroy regardless of party. Right now, families are in mourning, thousands have lost homes, and a quarter-million Americans have been forced to flee. At this desperate time, we would encourage the president to offer support in word and deed, instead of recrimination and blame.”

We lost our home, but we are all safe and that’s the important thing. Gonna be offline for awhile.

??PRAYING FOR EVERYONE IN PATH OF FIRE?
I HAVE SEEN DESTRUCTION OF FIRE ALL MY LIFE….— Cher (@cher) November 9, 2018
Multiple fires burning in California right now, including the #woolseyfire in Malibu. Thinking of everyone under evacuation and the firefighters working hard to protect families, animals, and homes. Stay safe!

California Wildfires are sweeping through Southern California. HERE are EMERGENCY NUMBERS. Please share them widely. SWIPE #fires #Woolseyfire #californiafires https://t.co/eqBHrjLxse

Horses are finally safe. My children are safe. My home is in jeopardy but… everything with a heartbeat is safe. Thank you all for your concern.
To those who insisted on still being hurtful because our political affiliation is different, you are what is wrong with the country.

Evacuated last night. Bleak House and the collection may be endangered but the gift of life remains. Thousand Oaks and Agoura are still in danger. Malibu is being evacuated.
— Guillermo del Toro (@RealGDT) November 9, 2018
Celebrities also thanked the fire fighters. They appreciated their relentless efforts to help the people.
Thank you to the fire fighters, police, first and emergency responders for doing above and beyond everything you can do to help us. You are true heroes. #CaliforniaFire

Hundreds of thousands of people have been asked to evacuate their homes in California. If you’re in the path of the fires, please stay safe and know I’m thinking of you. And firefighters, I love you.
— Ellen DeGeneres (@TheEllenShow) November 9, 2018
Celebrities had to evacuate their homes, many lost them. Some were displaced and found shelter eventually. Fires reaching Malibu burned down many studios and filming venues. Hollywood certainly is in distress, all of California is. Though, they have managed to be supportive to each other and all of America throughout this ordeal.
Hollywood Slams Trump
Now imagine how shocked those affected by the fires felt after hearing President Trump’s statements. It was petty that he resorted to blaming the authorities. Moreover, he threatened to cut funding. Rice’s statement was not the only response. Hollywood celebrities also reacted to Trump’s tweets. All of the stars were disappointed and furious. The actors and actresses were quick to respond to Trump’s tweet on social media.
who wrote this? https://t.co/q3mzGE2x2s

Honestly thought this one was from a parody account. The city is on fire and people and animals are dying. https://t.co/qjuaSheDJe
— Zach Braff (@zachbraff) November 10, 2018
As fires burn, as families and lives are upended, the last thing we need is the president criticizing our state. Just get us the help we need. Do it now.
— Maria Shriver (@mariashriver) November 10, 2018
This is an absolutely heartless response. There aren’t even politics involved. Just good American families losing their homes as you tweet, evacuating into shelters. https://t.co/DJ4PN26bLZ

God Bless Them All?
You are the most USELESS human being to ever walk the Planet Earth.
Except the useless idiots who actually vote for you ??????????? https://t.co/IVuIKmtDUg— Sebastian Bach (@sebastianbach) November 11, 2018
Some celebrities pointed out that Trump’s administration was responsible for the forest fires.
Dear @realDonaldTrump: What is wrong with you? Disaster victims deserve help & sympathy.
Oh, and guess who owns much of the forest land in CA? Your federal agencies. CA only owns 2%. Guess who cut funding to forest management in the budget? YOU DID.#SaturdayMorning Thoughts https://t.co/Es9oAOhQQc

So, it becomes very clear that celebrities are not happy with Trump’s stance on the California fires. They have urged people to help each other. Many of them have shared links to help find lost family members and friends. They have also made it a point to thank the authorities for helping people in trouble.
