After that, Lana Del Rey came under-fire when she posted the identities of people looting during BLM protests. This also indicated that she might be supporting Donald Trump. Shortly after, Rey made a comment that Trump’s presidency was ‘much needed’. Once again, Summertime Sadness singer claimed that her comments were misunderstood.

After an entire year of criticism, Lana Del Rey released her album, Arcadia, last week. According to her, the backlash made her explore her family lineage and dig deep within. She got to reflect and analyze herself. She also said:

“As much as the ongoing criticism has been trying, it at least has pushed me to explore my own family tree, to dig deep, and to continue to exhibit the fact that God only cares about how I move through the world.”
