Will Spider-Man fight The Sinister Six in No Way Home?
After seeing the trailer, it’s clear that Spider-Man: No Way Home will explore the multiverse and how deeply it has affected the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Previously with Thanos and in phases one through three, the MCU mostly dealt with the Infinity Stones. But now, the stakes are even higher. With a multiversal war that blew open after the Loki series, fans think it will make the previous phases look like a child’s playground. And that is why many fans think that in No Way Home, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man might face the Multiverse Sinister Six.
Who are the Sinister Six?
Basically, The Sinister Six are a group of villains that Spider-Man faces regularly in the comics. And these villains have been seen in multiple Spider-Man movies across the years and most of the audience is actually familiar with them. However, Peter Parker has only faced these villains individually and never collectively as a team. But with the multiverse blowing wide open in Spider-Man: No Way Home, many fans think that it is highly likely that Peter would face these villains as a collective.
The original lineup of the Sinister Six included Doc Ock, Vulture, Electro, Mysterio, Sandman, and Kraven the Hunter. And 5 of these six villains have already featured in the MCU or past Spider-Man films over the years. But, the problem was that they were in completely different trilogies. It was very difficult for Marvel to connect them. However, thanks to the multiverse blowing wide open, Marvel can finally assemble the Sinister Six. And Marvel has a huge lineup of villains that they can choose from.
We know that Aaron Johnson Taylor will play Kraven The Hunter in a stand-alone film. Other than that, Micheal Keaton may reprise his role as Vulture too. Meanwhile, Tom Holland’s Spider-Man has also faced Shocker (Bokeem Woodbine), Scorpion (Michael Mando), and Mysterio, putting them in the list of villains Feige can choose from. Other than them, we do already have the Green Goblin (Willem Dafoe), Doc Ock (Alfred Molina), and Sandman (Thomas Haden Church) from the Sam Raimi trilogy, and Jamie Foxx’s Elektro from The Amazing Spider-Man series making a comeback in the trailer. But, that’s not all.
The Sinister Six will be facing more than one Spider-Man in No Way Home
If the Sinister Six think that they’ll have a field day with Tom Holland’s Spider-Man, then they’ll be mistaken. This is because all rumors suggest that they’ll be facing not one, not two, but THREE “Spider-Men”. If the multiverse can bring together a huge lineup of villains, then it can do the same for heroes too. And that’s how Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield fit in, as rumors have been circulating for months now that they’ll feature in Spider-Man: No Way Home. And now, it makes complete sense. If so many villains across the multiverse can join forces to beat Peter Parker, why can’t Peter join hands with other Peters? Just by reading this, one can easily come to the conclusion that No Way Home will indeed be epic.
