On Sunday, Jake Paul will be fighting in his third professional boxing match. However, this time, he has the support of legendary boxer, Mike Tyson. In a recent interview, Tyson declared Paul to have better boxing technique than Tyron Woodley. At the same time, he did not hold back and criticized Woodley openly.

Whether you are a boxing fan or not, you would have heard about Mike Tyson.

Although his abilities were discovered in 1979, it wasn’t until 1985 that Mike Tyson appeared in his first fight. Within a year, he became the world champion of heavyweights. Until 1990, he remained undefeated. However, 1991 brought a dark period in Mike Tyson’s life. After he sexually assaulted an 18-year-old, Tyson was sent to prison for 5 years. Although he has made many comebacks over the years, Tyson made his second comeback in May 2021. Recently, Mike Tyson announced that he will be fighting Lennox Lewis in September.

Few days back, Tyson showed support for Jake Paul for his upcoming fight with Tyron Woodley

Mike Tyson Backs "Real Good Striker" Jake Paul Against Tyron Woodley

In a recent interview, Tyson expressed his excitement for the new up-and-coming boxer, Jake Paul. At the same time, he suggested that Tyron Woodley is only in it for money. While talking about it on his podcast, he said that both fighters make him proud. However, he preferred Paul over Woodley. He said:

‘I’m proud of them. Are they gonna fight? He’s (Jake Paul) fighting an experienced fighter. That’s so cool. I don’t know. Paul’s a real good striker, and I think people do him a disservice when they go in there and say, “He’s blonde-haired and blue-eyed, he’s a white boy”, and I think that also builds their (opponent’s) courage up and causes them to get knocked out. Jake’s gonna beat him. Woodley’s not a puncher like that, that’s why he wants to fight this guy, to get his last payday probably.’

Although he is just beginning, Jake Paul has already won three matches

YouTuber turned boxer, Jake Paul, began his boxing career in 2020. However, it was in 2018 that he had his first-ever amateur fight. When Logan Paul fought KSI, Jake came face to face with his younger brother, Deji Olatunji. He defeated Deji in the fifth round. However, he started taking it seriously and made it his main profession. In 2020, Paul faced YouTuber, AnEsonGib, and won the fight in the first round. Next up, it was basketball player, Nate Robinson who faced defeat at the hands of Jake Paul. This year, he fought Welterweight Champion, Ben Askren, and once again, remained undefeated. In his next fight, he will face Tyron Woodley on Sunday.

With support from legendary boxer, Mike Tyson, Jake Paul must be feeling more confident. However, only one mistake can change everything. May the best man win!
