James Charles Tackles Conspiracy About His New Palette
The beauty YouTuber James Charles collaborated with the makeup brand Morphe to introduce his first ever eye-shadow palette. In a release video, Charles gave out swatches and information about all colors in the new palette. But even then, a whole new conspiracy emerged claiming that he faked the swatches to make them look better. Amidst these rumors, James Charles immediately rushed to his own defense and providing an explanation. In fact, he was desperate to prove he hasn’t faked anything. And redid the swatches on an Instagram story.
The Conspiracy Surrounding the New James Charles Palette..
In the reveal video for his new eye shadow palette, James Charles did swatches of all 39 shades. And explained that it contained a mixture of eye shadows and pressed pigments. He also elaborated on the difference between the two claiming that eye-shadows have other ingredients added to the formula. But pressed pigments were pure colors with no added ingredients. And they helped create the most vibrant product ever. He continued that even when some pigments were hard to work with, once figured out, they were incredibly beautiful.
However, James Charles probably never imagined that his new palette would be met with such a conspiracy. As soon as the video was out, fans started claiming that he faked the swatches to make them look better. And that the shades were not as pigmented as shown in his video.

Lowkey I was really liking James Charles new pallete. That black shade was super pigmented… until I noticed that the swatch he does of the shade was on top of another swatch?

James Charles was quick to respond to this controversy. He immediately addressed them on Twitter claiming that he layered a few shades twice. But that was only because either the first one wasn’t good or he had to repeat his sentence. But he clarified that he was not hiding anything. He said that he was not good at making swatches at the camera but there was no conspiracy. Then, he took it further saying he was doing unedited live swatches on his Instagram story. So seems like he has nothing to hide?
YouTubers are sometimes famous for misleading people. But with the new Morphe palette Charles seems to be going completely transparent!
