Camila started the video by saying that she was just running in the park, minding her own business, trying to be fit and trying to keep it healthy and that she was wearing an untucked tank top that revealed her belly. And the 24-year-old was not shy in revealing her body to her fans, spreading the message of positive self-image. She was happy with how she looked and that’s what she wanted to tell her fans, saying:
Because I was running and existing like a normal person that doesn’t tuck it in all the time. And I was like, ‘Damn.’ But then I reminded myself being at war with your body is so last season.
At the end of the video, Camila told her millions of female fans around the world to own their bodies. She said that it’s okay to have stretch marks and cellulite because that is normal. Women should not be ashamed of this – instead, they should own it. Her exact words were:
I am grateful for this body that lets me do what I need to do. We are real women with curves and cellulite and stretch marks and fat. And we gotta own that, baby
She then sang a song by Aretha Franklin and ended the video. This is such a powerful message for millions of women who feel uncomfortable in their bodies just because of stretch marks and fat. We are really happy to see women celebrating their bodies, especially celebrities because their fans loom up to them and this will have a positive impact on millions of women.
