If I’m being honest, the After Hours madness still hasn’t subsided. Many of us still listen to Abel Tesfaye “The Weeknd” pretty much on a daily basis, and now it looks like he’s giving us more material to turn our ears towards. According to his recent tweets, it looks like The Weeknd has something big in store for us. Is it a new album? It seems so!

So, The Weeknd started teasing his fans with a tweet, saying “we gettin’ there” with a CD emoji at the end. Immediately, fans thought okay this is something promising. It definitely has to be a new record, right?

Then, a few minutes later, The Weeknd tweeted how proud he was of “this one”. With the discography that Abel already has, one can only imagine how good he did this time to be really proud of it.

Later, Abel mentioned how he’s fine-tuning his art and “giving it some tlc”.

And then, just to make sure he and the fans were on the same page, Abel said he’s making a “full body of work”. I’m sure that this means it’s a complete album, right? It has to be that at this point. I refuse to believe that The Weeknd will disappoint the fans by releasing anything less.

Lastly, The Weeknd also promised a tour! That pretty much settles it then. The Weeknd is soon going to release a new album, and by his words, it looks like it is going to be a MAD one. With After Hours giving us Blinding Lights, and so many hits, one can only imagine what Abel can pull off with this one.

Apart from a new album, The Weeknd has a lot on his plate, and it’s awesome

Of course, a new album is not the only thing Abel has in store for us. Variety reported that he’ll be participating in a ‘Global Citizen Live’ 24-Hour Special, which will also feature a lot of other renowned musicians. These include BTS, Ed Sheeran, The Weeknd, Lorde, Metallica, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Andrea Bocelli, Green Day, H.E.R., Demi Lovato, Coldplay, Adam Lambert, Usher, and many others. Yes, that’s just a small part of the list. It’ll be taking place on September 26th, so mark your calendars!
