YES! You heard it right. We are getting a new album! Halsey surprised us all by posting on her Instagram account the new album art. As we all know that the singer was pregnant and made the announcement in January. She posted some pictures of her in which she was showing her baby bump on January 27, while tagging her boyfriend, Alev in her post.
Halsey hasn’t shared anything else related to her pregnancy lately but she is releasing an album soon. She posted the new album art in which she can be seen holding a baby in her lap while she is bare-chested. She wrote a long post on Instagram, starting by saying ‘If I Can’t Have Love, I Want Power’. Halsey then further revealed the concept behind the album. The singer says that the album is all about the joys and horror of pregnancy and childbirth. She also talked about why she choose that specific artwork and said that it was important to her that the cover art conveyed the sentiment of her journey over the past few months:
At the end of the post, Halsey added:
This cover image celebrates pregnant and postpartum bodies as something beautiful, to be admired. We have a long way to go with eradicating the social stigma around bodies & breastfeeding. I hope this can be a step in the right direction.
Lastly, she wrote that her fourth studio album will be out on August 27, 2021. Halsey also mentioned that Lucas Garrido made the cover art of the album. That said, we’re going to have to wait for a little over a month to listen to her upcoming album.
