The situation around Britney Spears’ conservatorship is getting more and more convoluted. Now, one of the financial firms that are a part of the conservatorship has also withdrawn from the arrangement.

Ever since Britney Spears revealed the harrowing details of her conservatorship, the world has kept a keep eye on the proceedings. Her father has pretty much been in absolute control of Britney’s entire life, including her finances, career, and even her body. As a result, the #FreeBritney campaign has gained a lot of momentum over the past few weeks, ever since the testimony. Britney’s manager of 25 years has also resigned, and multiple celebrities have come out to support her as well. Now, the financial firm which was one of Britney’s co-conservators has also withdrawn from the conservatorship.

Bessemer Trust entered the conservatorship as a co-conservator only last Wednesday. According to reports, Bessemer Trust was the co-conservator of Spears’ financial assets alongside her father, Jamie Spears. However, in light of the bombshell speech by the pop star in her hearing, the firm has asked to withdraw from the conservatorship. And the reason they cited was that they respect Britney’s wish to end the conservatorship and only entered the arrangement because they thought all parties had consented to it.

In the speech, Britney told revealed to the court the horrifying details of her conservatorship. After listening to Britney Spears’ speech, Bessemer Trust had a change of heart and asked a Los Angeles court to withdraw from the case. The Trust withdrew from the conservatorship saying ‘the fact that the Conservatee claimed irreparable harm to her interests.’

Many celebrities supported Britney Spears in her fight. Celebrities like Andy Cohen and Sarah Jessica Parker tweeted #FreeBritney. #FreeBritney is a movement started by Britney’s fans. Britney’s fans just want to see the celebrity happy and healthy because she truly deserves it. No person should be made to put through hell just because of some mistake they did years ago. Britney demands justice but the court thinks otherwise. Britney filed a petition to remove her father from the head of conservatorship but the court denied Britney’s appeal.
