Kevin Hart talks to Will Smith about his cheating scandal
Things are rarely ever boring on Will Smith‘s Red Table Talk show on Facebook. And that tradition continued with Kevin Hart showing up as a guest on the show. In his interview, Hart went candid with Smith, talking about his cheating scandal that occurred back in 2017, a year after his marriage to wife Eniko Parrish.
Hart has fathered four children – 16-year-old daughter Heaven and 13-year-old son Hendrix, with ex-wife Torrei Hart and 3-year-old son Kenzo and 8-month-old daughter Kaori with current wife Eniko. Back in 2017, Hart was seen and videotaped in Las Vegas partying with model Montia Sabbag. At first, Sabbag claimed that the video was doctored. However, she later filed a lawsuit against Hart and his friend J.T. Jackson, claiming $60 million for setting her up with a hidden camera. Later, Hart came clean to his wife about the issue.
Disclosing the scandal to children was the toughest, reveals Kevin Hart
Addressing the controversy, Hart said, “I stepped in some s**t, yeah”. When asked how he confronted his children, Hart responded:
You’re never prepared for that side of it. Having a little girl in my life, it’s tough. You don’t realize the impact that your mistakes can truly have. When the kids get involved, it’s a different feeling, it’s a different emotion. Through my public, uh, debacles … it’s very hard to bother me. But when your child shows disappointment, shows emotion, shows ‘I don’t understand why’ and you got to have those conversations, the head drops for the first time.
The scandal brought some really trying times in Kevin Hart and his familys’ life, explaining how it personally affected him. He said talking to his daughter Heaven was particularly gruesome for him, saying:
Now you realize there’s a different emotional cord that can be pulled on you that nobody else has the privilege of ever touching. My daughter touched on that cord, man. When me and my wife went through what we went through and the whole cheating display, my talk with (daughter) Heaven, goddamn. That was one like no other. Getting my daughter back, getting my daughter to understand that I’m sorry, that I made a mistake, that was real. To understand, I’m still dad.
Kevin Hart only recently disclosed to the public that he told his children about the scandal. You can watch the full talk here.
