Jessie J posts a video on Instagram saying that she is sick
Jessie J posted a video on Instagram this Friday in which she sings the lyrics to ‘I Want Love’ and while singing she breaks down in tears telling the fans that she is suffering from a painful throat condition and might have to take a break from singing. The 33-year-old British singer posted a long post on Instagram alongside a video in which she told the fans about her painful throat disease and how it had affected her.
Jessie says in the post:
It’s been hard not singing. It’s literally my lifeline and my happiness. Being quiet is not something I’m good at. Or makes me feel like myself
She furthermore adds:
To be totally real, to have your support and love will help me get through this faster, I am sure. I have always been honest however hard it feels. It’s important to be strong enough to be weak. Especially on a platform like this.
Jessie J opens up about her Disease
Jessie further explained about her condition when she posted on her Instagram story. The singer said in her story:
In February, I started to feel a burn in my throat constantly. I ignored it for a bit as I presumed it was fatigue from the studio. When I went to see a doctor I was told I have major acid reflux and nodules because I have continued to sing with acid reflux which was probably caused by the steroids I had taken for my ear late last year.
She furthermore added:
I have had 8 cameras down my nose to look at by 6 different doctors now and ate the same 6 foods for 3 months. I am still in pain every day. With rest and little talking/singing the nodules melted away. Like Olaf in the sun. But every doctor has told me if I sing the nodules will just come right back
We pray that the singer is back to singing in no time and recovers as soon as possible.
