According to TMZ, Demi Lovato is most likely out of rehab. Reportedly, she left the rehab facility over the weekend. She was photographed leaving a restaurant with a new man on Saturday!
The 26-year-old singer was seen holding hands with Enfants Riches Deprimes designer and founder, Henry Levy. The pair were seen holding hands while dining out at Matsuhisa in Beverly Hills, Calif. They were later seen leaving the restaurant in the same car.
It’s unclear if Henry is just a friend or if their relationship is something more.
Lovato’s Drug Overdose
As we learnt a few months ago, Demi fell prey to a bad drug overdose. At first, she just released a song with the lyrics “I’m so sorry, I’m not sober anymore”. Her friends and fans didn’t know exactly what to make of it or the extent to which it was true. However, they should’ve seen it as a cry for help because just a few weeks later, she accidentally overdosed. It had nearly been fatal and she had experienced severe health complications while she was hospitalized.
After the incident, Demi Lovato joined a rehab facility in July. The last thing she wrote on social media before entering rehab was that she needed time to focus on being sober and the road to recovery:
Furthermore, Lovato’s mother, Dianna De La Garza, reported to Maria Menounos in late October that Demi was 90 days sober. In her words:
“I couldn’t be more thankful or more proud of her because addiction being a disease, it’s work,” she said. “It’s very hard. It’s not easy, and there are no shortcuts.”
Despite her progress, Lovato was expected to be in rehab for several months. She was working with an addiction specialist who is based out of Chicago. Hence, it’s unclear whether her release is directly connected to her 90 days sobriety. Moreover, according to E! News, Demi’s weekend out might just be temporary. Though, as TMZ reported, she was “happy, smiling and laughing through dinner.”
