How Logan Paul responded to suspicions about Floyd Mayweather match

Suspicions arose around the match after one particular video emerged on Twitter. In it, it seems as if Mayweather had actually knocked out Paul with a punch on the left side of the head. But, instead held him up to let the match end as a draw. And conspiracy theorists suggest they did so just to keep the hype and interest around the possibility of a rematch alive.

Of course, Logan Paul is extremely active on the internet and caught wind of the rumor. And he did not stay silent, addressing the critics in a series of Instagram stories, saying:

Yo, I’m seeing this narrative going around that there’s one part of the fight where Floyd punched me and I kind of leaned on him a little bit and it looks like I kinda went limp. And people are trying to spin it and say he knocked me out and caught me and kept me up to keep the fight going till the eighth round. Shut the f**k up, like just shut the f–k up, like stop trying to discredit what happened last night.

Meanwhile, their fight went the distance till eight rounds, ending with a draw as there were no judges for an exhibition.

26 year old Paul, who is 6’2, and has 34 pounds on Mayweather, 44, was quite impressive in the fight. Afterward, Mayweather even said:

He’s better than I thought he was.

Paul threw 217 punches, with 28 landing on Mayweather. Meanwhile, Mayweather threw 107 punches, with 43 landing on Paul. As far as his critics are concerned, the boxing legend had a strong response for them, saying:

They say, ‘It’s not all about the money.’ Well, your kids can’t eat legacy. Patches on my trunks, that was $30 million alone. So, who’s really the smartest one in the sport of boxing?
