Jameela Jamil Cast in Disney’s ‘She-Hulk’ Series
The upcoming Disney+ series She-Hulk is now finally gaining shape. After the hiring of Tatiana Maslany as the lead character, sources state that Marvel has also hired Jameela Jamil as part of the cast. She-Hulk is one of the many Disney+ shows that Marvel has under the works in Phase 4 of the MCU.
Jameela Jamil now part of ‘She-Hulk’ cast
The series will focus on Jennifer Walters (Maslany), who is Bruce Banner’s cousin and inherits his powers after a blood transfusion from him. However, the difference for Walters is that her version of Hulk retains her intelligence, personality, and emotional control as well. In this show, according to reports from Variety, Jamil will play the role of Tatiana, an incredibly strong supervillain and a regular adversary to Walters.
However, neither Marvel nor Jamil’s representatives have confirmed or denied her involvement in She-Hulk. Apart from Maslany and Jamil, the show features Renée Elise Goldsberry, Ginger Gonzaga, and Tim Roth. And of course, Mark Ruffalo will be reprising the role of Bruce Banner as well. Moreover, Kat Coiro will direct the series and serve as executive producer too, along with head-writer Jessica Gao. She-Hulk is part of the MCU’s Disney+ shows like WandaVision, Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Loki, Secret Invasion, Hawkeye, Moon Knight, and Ms. Marvel. As of right now, however, we have no release dates for She-Hulk. But, fans can expect the show to hit Disney+ by 2022.
Jamil joins She-Hulk with a lucrative CV. Her most popular role as of now has been NBC’s The Good Place, in which she starred for four seasons. Moreover, she also hosts the TBS game show The Misery Index and is a judge on HBO Max’s competition series Legendary.
