Taylor Swift praises activists for their fight against discrimination in honor of Pride Month
Taylor Swift is a Grammy Award-winning singer and songwriter. She stepped into the music industry at the age of 16. She became very popular over the years. Taylor Swift has many early hits, some of them which are ‘You Belong With Me’ and ‘Blank spaces’. Back in 2008, the musician was nominated for a Grammy in the popular Best New Artist Category. Then, Taylor released her next album ‘Fearless’ which became a hit. The album hit the top of both the country and pop charts and stayed there for almost 11 days. By the end of 2008, she became the highest-selling country artist 2008. One of the famous songs Taylor released was ‘Love Story’.
Taylor recently released three of her new albums in COVID-19 pandemic. The first ever album she released in the pandemic was “Folklore”. She also gave her fans another album, “Evermore”.
Taylor Swift praised activists who fight against discrimination
The very famous popstar celebrated pride month and praised activists for their dedication to fight against discrimination and hatred. Taylor Swift recently posted on her social media bout Pride Month.
She said in her Twitter post:
I want to take a moment to thank the courageous activists, advocates, and allies for their dedication to fight against discrimination and hatred.
Furthermore, Taylor swift added:
And as always today, I am sending my respect and love to those living out their truth, even when the world we live in makes it so hard to do. Who you love and who you identify should not put you in danger, leave you vulnerable or hold you back in your life.
At the end Taylor Swift said:
I proudly join GLAAD in their #summerof equality and add my voice to those who support the Equality act. Happy pride Month.
GLAAD also posted a petition calling for senators to pass the bill. President Joe Biden said that this bill is the top priority right now. We are so happy to see celebrities speaking about Pride month and giving it importance.
