Timothée Chalamet to play young Willy Wonka in upcoming movie
The Oscar nominated actor is all set to star as Willy Wonka in his new upcoming movie. Timothée Chalamet will star as the chocolate maker in Roald Dahl’s ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’ movie adaptation, where fans will get to explore the iconic character’s origin as well. According to rumors, the movie will also have musical numbers showcasing Chalamet’s singing and dancing abilities. The main focus of the film will be on young Willy Wonka and his adventures before opening the world’s famous chocolate factory. Some sources even say that Timothée was the first choice for quite some time but scheduling was a big hurdle.
Timothée Chalamet has had a pretty impressive career in Hollywood so far
The actor is best known for his famous film ‘Call Me By Your Name’ which was released in 2017. For his role in the movie, he was nominated for the Best Actor Oscar Award at the age 22. That makes him the third youngest nominee ever in that category.

Third time Warner Bros. has taken on the Wonka story
Charlie and the Chocolate factory was the first adaption of Dahl’s classic novel. The first one came out in 1971, starring Gene Wilder as Willy Wonka. Then, the second one in 2005, starring Johnny Depp in the same role.
