Resurrecting a character from the dead is not at all difficult for Marvel. And after Chadwick Boseman’s tragic death, many fans speculated that Marvel could bring Killmonger back in the MCU in Black Panther 2. Furthermore, those rumors gained even more momentum with news that Marvel did not intend to recast T’Chala. Fans expected that this could mean we could see a revived and reformed Killmonger lead the Black Panther franchise moving forward. And now, Michael B Jordan has also addressed these rumors.

While talking on Jess Cagle’s SiriusXM show, Jordan was asked about the possibility of his return in the MCU. The actor responded:

I’m gonna have to go with a solid 2. I didn’t want to go zero! Never say never. I can’t predict the future.

However, Jordan “didn’t know much at all” about the direction that Black Panther 2 was going to take. However, he does believe that the writers will take into account “a lot of circumstances and tragedy that we had to deal with this past year”. Michael B Jordan said:

I know Ryan (Coogler) and Marvel are going to do the absolute best job at developing the story in a way that makes everybody happy and satisfied and honors Chad and moves forward with grace.

We don’t know if we’ll ever get to see Erik Killmonger again. However, we may see Michael B Jordan as the new Superman, as he has neither confirmed nor denied those rumors in his recent interview.
