Ringo Starr reveals his favorite Beatles song!
Every one of us has that one favorite Beatles song that hits you right in the feels, no matter when you listen to it. I have one and I assume anyone who has listened to The Beatles passionately has one. Well, it turns out that one of the fab four himself, Richard Starkey aka Ringo Starr also has a favorite Beatles song. He revealed his personal favorite while talking to Stephen Colbert on The Late Show.
Ringo Starr’s favorite Beatles song
While talking on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the Beatles drummer revealed his favorite track during Colbert’s 15-question ‘The Colbert Questionert’. Colbert asked Ringo: “You get one song to listen to for the rest of your life. What is it?”. And Ringo did not hesitate in answering quickly: “[The Beatles’] Come Together“. Ringo continued:
There’s lots of other favorites, but if you want one, ‘Come Together’ can’t be bad. I just think it worked perfectly with the band and the song and John being John. I loved that moment.
Furthermore, Colbert also asked Ringo many other questions, which included his favorite sandwich (“Cheese”), scariest animal (“I think a lion would be scary”), his least favorite smells (“Bodily functions”), etc. One interesting thing is that Ringo also revealed his most used app on his phone. And like many of us, it indeed was Twitter.
However, they didn’t just talk about favorite music and food but also had an existential discussion as well. Ringo also shared his unique take on the afterlife after Colbert asked him what happens when we die. He said:
I think we go to heaven. Heaven’s great, but you don’t stay there too long; you just gotta get yourself together again and come deal with all that [shit] you didn’t deal with last time you were here.
