Zack Snyder’s Green Lantern actor reacts to being cut from ‘Justice League’
Actor Wayne T Carr, whom Zack Snyder hired to play Green Lantern in his version of Justice League, sadly had to see his scene being cut from the final movie. However, the director mentioned his contributions in a recent interview and since then, fans have poured a lot of love and support for Carr. And so, Carr recently reacted to the Green Lantern being dropped from Justice League in an interview.
Green Lantern actor Wayne T. Carr was really disappointed to be dropped from the Snyder Cut
While talking to LightCast, Carr revealed the bizarre circumstances in which Zack Snyder shot his scene as the Green Lantern. He said:
[Snyder] said, ‘We’re going to shoot it, we’ll see what the studio says’. This is kind of crazy because we shot it in what I’m going to call ‘Driveway Studios’. He called me after he showed it to everyone, I think it was the second time because they had watched it in parts. He was like, ‘They’re not letting me do this thing’.
However, Carr only found out about the Green Lantern being omitted from the final cut after he watched the movie like everyone else on HBO Max. He continued:
When I saw the full vision, I went through the journey like everybody went through the journey. Towards the end, I realized, ‘Ugh. I’m not a part of this. Darn’.
Moreover, here’s concept artwork for Justice League from Jojo Aguilar, who gives us an idea of what Wayne T Carr’s Green Lantern would have looked like if he was part of Zack Snyder’s Justice League.
Despite the disappointment, Carr was overwhelmed by the love he and the Green Lantern received from fans online. He said:
The thing that kind of just warmed my heart was once all of the concept art and stuff started to drop, it’s been nothing but love from the fans, man. Like, I wasn’t even in the movie, and I’m just getting positive feedback from people and support. It’s super crazy. It’s absolutely crazy, but I love it.
