Although Lana Del Ray’s new album isn’t expected until 2019, it hasn’t stopped the artist from giving fans a taste of what’s yet to come. On Tuesday, Lana Del Ray performed at the keynote event of Apple at the Brooklyn Academy of Music. The event was set for the release of Apple’s newest products. But even the new MacBook Air couldn’t steal the show like Lana Del Ray’s performance did. She presented two songs, singing both of them with such grace that it left the audience in awe.

Lana Del Ray’s New Song, ‘How to Disappear’

The song, ‘How to Disappear’, at least in its live presentation, is a stripped-down narrative ballad. In the grand opera house where the event was held, Lana Del Ray displayed a sense of real sincerity and eloquence in her voice. This really made the music stand out. Jack Antonoff also made a surprise appearance. He’s the one who produced her upcoming album and accompanied Lana at the event to play piano. The gentle and soothing notes of the piano coupled with Lana’s beautiful voice made for an exquisite performance.

On Twitter, people seem to agree that Lana’s surprise performance was pretty stunning. She performed the new song, “How to Disappear” as well as the previously released single “Venice Bitch.”

Del Rey and Antonoff were introduced by Apple CEO Tim Cook after a busy day of showing off the new MacBook Air, Mac Mini, and iPad Pro. As Lana exited the stage, she told Tim Cook she was nervous. Cook replied, “No, you were great! I’m the one that’s nervous.”

Upcoming Album, ‘Norman F*cking Rockwell’

Lana Del Ray has set the bar high for her upcoming album. But the singer was forbidden from saying the name of her upcoming album. As respect to a no-swearing policy, she couldn’t tell people about the title ‘Norman F*cking Rockwell’. “They told us not to swear, so I can’t tell you the name of the album,” she reportedly said during the performance.

The album will feature the Antonoff-produced tracks “Mariners Apartment Complex” and “Venice Bitch.” It will also include the song “Sylvia Plath,” which she recently teased on social media. Del Rey also recently hinted at a possible collaboration with Machine Gun Kelly.
